RESOLVING CONFLICTING CODES

An elevator company was hired to install an elevator for accessible access in a historic building. A survey of the building revealed that code compliance and historic preservation were at odds. EADAI worked with the architect and the elevator contractor to identify the code problems and negotiate an acceptable alternative to the local code authorities.
